The Basics

This favorite nightlife franchise boasts three locations in the Caribbean—Cancun, Playa del Carmen, and Punta Cana. Each location features a huge video screen and seating on multiple levels for viewing the productions, along with festive touches like soap bubbles, balloons, confetti, and streamers. You’ll find plenty of skip-the-line booking options, and some even include an open bar for groups. This can be advantageous to avoid long lines at the door and bar during busy times.

Fantastic Time
The show is fantastic and worth the price. It is confusing going in. Person outside got us to upgrade to VIP. Person sat us further back anyway, had to pull out our paperwork again to show him we upgraded. Seems like everyone was mixed up anyway. Not sure we really needed to upgrade

Coco Bongo Nightclub
The best night club I have ever been. Been to many Las Vegas clubs, but I should say this is the best. You have unlimited drinks. Music was awesome. So many performances and sometimes audience can go up to the stage and dance.

Coco Bongo Nightclub
The different routines and acts they had are amazing. The only drawbacks are they pack so many people in there and you can barely move. And the ladies who come around with those cheap sweet shots pester you the whole night to try to buy a shot for you or them. Different women selling those things

The tour was good. Private driver showed up exactly on time. Only complaint was that we were dropped off at Coco Bongo with no clear direction on where to go. There is a VIP booth that we had to find - and once that happened, we were good to go. Driver had limited English skills which was tough.

Whole evening was brilliant, staff extremely attentive and although such a diverse age group Coco Bongo's has something for everyone. We arrived at 10pm and left at 03.15am and enjoyed every minute of it. Our friends from Wales their first time were simply amazed. It was our second time after visiting in 2013 and this time was even better than the first. A MUST do for everyone who visits Cancun. Thank you and ENJOY it!

Coco Bongo Nightclub
Coco Bongo was definitely a unique experience. The show/production this club puts on is amazing and very entertaining. We had an amazing time and my only complaint was that the club was much smaller than I imagined. Having been to other clubs like The City and Bulldogs, I expected this club to be similar in size. The club was much smaller and crowded which made moving around and dancing pretty difficult, so I recommend getting there when it opens to ensure a good spot where the action is taking place.

Things to Know Before You Go

  • CoCo Bongo isn’t a traditional nightclub with a DJ, but you’ll find those nearby if you’re planning on a club crawl.

  • Wear comfortable shoes since you’ll likely be standing most of the night.

  • The venue can become extremely crowded, especially during peak times.

  • CoCo Bongo may not be the most wheelchair accessible venue.

How to Get There

Located in Cancun’s Hotel Zone, one block from the Caribbean Sea, CoCo Bongo is within walking distance from most accommodations. Taxis are also readily available in the area and bar-hopping tours typically include the venue on their routes. Keep in mind that most skip-the-line ticket options don’t include transportation.

When to Get There

On the weekends and during high season (from December to April), lines to get into CoCo Bongo can be long. If you want to avoid the crowds, stop by on a weeknight. The venue opens in the evening and doesn't close until the early hours of the morning, but the shows end a few hours earlier; however, you can stay and dance until closing. Some tickets will also give you access until half an hour before closing.

Nearby Carlos'n Charlie's and Señor Frog's

Two of Cancun’s other hot nightclubs—Carlos'n Charlie's and Señor Frog's—offer similar VIP service packages with open bar and skip-the-line access, and are located right next door to CoCo Bongo. These spots don’t offer the range of performances like CoCo Bongo, but visitors can still expect plenty of fun party vibes with a spring break–style atmosphere and funky cocktails.
