The Basics

Access to the Irish Whiskey Museum is by guided tour only. Join a 1-hour guided tour to find out more about Irish whiskey production, the social importance of the spirit, and its rise, fall, and resurgence in Ireland and beyond. Tours conclude with an Irish whiskey tasting session. Upgrade to a premium tour to enjoy an additional sample of a premium aged whiskey as well as a take-home souvenir.

For an extra treat, opt for a whiskey and brunch experience, which combines a guided tour and tasting with a typical Irish brunch at the on-site Cafe Bar. Whiskey connoisseurs might want to opt for a whiskey blending experience, which includes a guided tour, a tasting of four Irish whiskies, and the opportunity to blend and take home their own 1-ounce (30-ml) bottle of whiskey.

History and fine whiskey
Great history lesson, our tour guide was quite funny, some theatrics, and best of all whiskey tasting.

Irish Whiskey Museum: Whiskey Blending Experience
Absolutely loved Paddy and his stories. Brought it all to life! He has a rare gift! Also enjoyed playing mixologist and creating my own blend. Great job all around on the tour and blending.

Of all the tours, I was especially looking forward to this one. It exceeded all my expectations. Learn a lot. History and whiskies all in one. The way the lady conveyed the history of whiskey to us is so vivid and striking that I will not forget it for the rest of my life.

It was a good tour except for not having enough places to sit while tour guy talked about history. The first 2 rooms we went into did not have enough seating or the tour was too big for what you can accommodate...for older people it's tough standing for so long... but the info we received and the tasting where fun..

Great! -- primarily because of the tour host, Janet.

Janet, the tour host was exceptionally knowledgeable and very good -- deserves a 5 star rating. However, at the tasting table, there were only 3 tasters instead of tasters for all the 4 styles. There was no complementary glass. And above all, when the 5 pm tour ended, the in-house bar had closed, which was a bit of a dampener -- hence, the overall 4 star rating. Suggestion: There should also be a small explanatory brochure/flier given to the guests, as a keepsake, explaining the different types/'styles' of whiskeys and their origin or evolution -- would be a good informative and educational memoir, from the Irish Whiskey Museum!
