The East Village is a culturally vibrant neighborhood with a reputation as the countercultural beacon of New York City. Immerse yourself in the dramatic underworld of New York’s gangland on this fascinating insider’s tour of the Mafia, including stops at authentic, historic local joints for delicious Italian food. We designed this tour with the help of a retired NYPD Detective born and raised in Little Italy. He helped us to create an experience from a true “insider’s perspective” of the East Village NYC mafia stories. Growing up witnessing some of New York’s famous families and having consulted for TV and major film productions on both crime and law enforcement, has contributed to develop this unique tour. Our expert tour guides lead this experience in the East Village & Little Italy, following the footsteps of notorious New York Mobsters! You will visit notorious Mafia and Crime locations, share true crime stories, and eat amazing food from the neighbourhood

Walking Tour of 1970's Music Venues of the East Village

Walking Tour of 1970's Music Venues of the East Village

star-4.5
6
Travel back to the 1970s, to an East Village when apartments were cheap, music was great, and you had to show up in person to buy tickets! We’ll visit the sites of the legendary Fillmore East, the long gone CBGB’s, and The Bottom Line, places that launched the careers of some of the biggest names in music. We’ll also walk to some lesser known, but equally significant, sites where artists honed their craft and first gained a following, places like Club 82, On the Rocks, and Great Gildersleeves. Were you at The Bottom Line in 1975 when Bruce Springsteen first blew the socks off the music world with Born to Run? Or did you see Patti Smith at CBGB’s in 1976 after the release of Horses? What a SHOW! We’ll also revisit some of the legendary shows of The Who and Pink Floyd at the Fillmore East, as well as the New York Dolls at the Mercer Arts Center. Along the way we’ll dip our toe into the world of Disco at the site of Infinity, a dance club destroyed by fire1979. Tour runs w/confirmation.

East Village Ice Cream Crawl

East Village Ice Cream Crawl

star-5

Behind each scoop, there is the hardship, vision, and grit of the founders who wanted to make life just a little sweeter for their customers. Some founded ice cream empires, and others were content with a single shop, but all of them are fascinating. While you eat, I will share these stories with you. And you will be eating a lot. There is no other tour where you can try this many types of ice cream. This NYC ice cream tour lets you taste your favorite flavors from world-class ice cream shops that you have never visited. And I gently push you to expand your palette, challenging you to taste flavors that you normally would not get a whole scoop of. After five years running this tour, I know the best flavors at every shop, and love catering the perfect mix of ice creams to the tastes of the group.
