Bewitched Statue
The basics
The statue was given to the city of Salem by the nostalgia cable channel TV Land, which broadcasted reruns of Bewitched. Several episodes of the seventh season of the show were filmed in Salem. Fans of the show enjoy posing for photos with the nose-twitching witch. Many Salem sightseeing tours pass by the statue, and it’s easy to combine a stop here with a tour of nearby attractions, such as the Old Burying Point Cemetery and Salem Witch Museum.

*It’s free to access Lappin Park and the statue. *The statue is controversial, as some residents feel it disrespectful to have a statue of a fictional witch in a town where people lost their lives during the Salem Witch Trials. *Lappin Park is wheelchair accessible.

The Bewitched Statue is located in Lappin Park, at the corner of Washington and Essex Streets, in the heart of downtown Salem. It’s within walking distance of many attractions.

The Bewitched Statue can be visited at any time. It’s a popular attraction, and there is often a line of people waiting to take a photo with it. October sees the largest crowds in Salem. If you visit near the Christmas holidays, you can also enjoy the large Christmas tree that is set up in Lappin Park every year.
