The Basics

Discover many of the country’s most treasured documents at the National Archives Museum, and learn more about America’s history. Explore interactive exhibitions at the Public Vaults and get hands-on with history at the family-focused Boeing Learning Center, packed with creative activities. Head to the Rotunda for the Charters of Freedom to see the country’s founding documents (accompanied by the vibrant Faulkner Murals), and visit the Record of Rights Gallery to view a copy of the Magna Carta.

In addition to its permanent collection, the National Archives Museum also showcases temporary exhibitions, so it’s worth checking the online calendar when planning a visit.

Absolutely the best!
Our guide Steve was the best I've ever had the pleasure of being around. He was so thoughtful, intelligent, articulate, and easy going! He made every stop amazing! Larry, our driver, was the smoothest, safest driver that we've had in D.C.! They are a great team! I would love to go on another tour with them no matter what we see.

It was good the tour guide Dre was great . He really knows his facts an history. The only thing is that we couldn’t get into certain place that the tour said due to the extra security checks going on . But other thank that it’s the perfect historical tour

Private Guided Tour in National Archives Building
Richard was amazing and did such a great job on this tour. We were able to skip lines and then because of that we were able to see all documents while the rotunda was empty. (Which makes a HUGE difference). I think this is definitely worth every single cent. LOVED IT!!!

Seeing the magma carta. Also really enjoyed the White House correspondence section, particularly our guide pointing out the letter from a 12 year old Fidel Castro

Jennifer was our favorite tour guide out of the four tours we booked while in D.C. Her engaging personality, Ivy League education and political experience all combined to create an impressively informative and entertaining experience for us.

Well organised tour. Even though the group was large, everything was on schedule and the guide covered a lot. Very good explanation on the departure time and place. We had enough time for lunch and short rest. Definitely would recommend for tourists in DC.

Best of DC Tour - With Access to US Capitol Grounds & National Archives Building
The tour guide was amazing! Orchestrating the whole tour with so many parts to it was no easy feat. He was incredibly knowledgeable and answered a number of questions that were not part of the tour. The tour covered so many parts of DC which made it a perfect overview. I highly recommend this tour and we’ll worth the cost!

Best of DC Tour - With Access to US Capitol Grounds & National Archives Building
Great tour with Nick who had some very obscure US / presidents / other trivia facts. The open top Sprinter van was good to enjoy the sites and the weather the day we were out. Recommended for those looking for a fun and interesting day in DC.
