  • Please arrive at the meeting point 20 min before the start of the tour
  • There is a limit of 18-20 people per guide, although transportation will be shared with other groups.
  • Please note that we reserve the right to modify itinerary if considered necessary. Please notify us if you are interested in hearing the boys' choir during this experience.
  • Please note that the Boys’ Choir doesn’t perform on Saturdays, school holidays and several other dates throughout the year.
  • We work daily with different low-production, family-owned boutique wineries. Due to logistic reasons, you might visit another cellar instead of Oller del Mas.
  • Comfortable clothes and shoes are recommended as there is some walking involved.
  • Temperatures in Montserrat and the winery tend to be more extreme than in Barcelona. Please check the weather forecast the day before and dress accordingly. We advise bringing water, especially in the summer season.  
  • Infants aged 3 or less may join the tour free of charge, but note that no car seat or meals are provided.
  • Not wheelchair accessible

I one billion percent would recommend this!! This is one of the best trips I've done in all of my travels. From our amazing guide, Pep, to the people in the group. Come into this with an open spirit and experience all of the beauty in full. As a solo traveler, I've made lifelong friends. The food was delicious, Monserrat is breathtaking, and the winery was fantastic. It was a long day and I STILL wish I had more time. 10/10 would recommend to anyone.

Very nice tour and you get to explore and visit the countryside. You get to see the catedral and see the Moreneta or Black Madonna. But also, you have time to explore the site on your own. We visit the Museum which to our surpise, has paintings from El Greco, Monet and Picasso, sculptures and even an Egyptian mummy. Also, visited the highest point by cable car an did some hiking. They have many trails that you can do and the view is spectacular. Mind that in summer is very, very hot! good shoes, water and good hat is a must.

Travelling to the mountains in Montsrrat and visiting the monastery was a great experience. My prayer at the statue of the Black Madonna was very moving. Lunch and winetasting was an added bonus. Our guide was knowledgeable and very friendly. I rate this as a tremendous day trip and recommend it to all.

Terrific medieval monastery and castle.

Excellent time on a mystical mountain. The monastery is amazing! Lunch was delicious. The vineyard tour and tasting in the 10th century castle was so memorable. Our guide Marcel was very knowledgeable and patient. When I learned Lufthansa had cancelled all flights, he went out of his way to help me with the problem. Then followed up later. I can't say enough good things.

The trip was fantastic and a huge kudos to all the people who work for Castlexperiwnce that we interacted with. We got a bit lost on the way to the bus station because I couldn’t find the office despite the instructions nor could I see the platform number of the bus. Someone from the office called as we were running late and guided us to the bus. I definitely sounded panicked and want to apologize to the kind girl on the phone if I came across as rude or abrupt in my stress for running a bit over time. When we got to the bus, the guides Jon and Marcel greeted us and all was well. Jon have some great background info on the bus to Montserrat but once we arrived, we were part of Marcel’s group and could not have asked for anyone better. He was energetic, super sweet and did it all! The entire trip he was our guide, helped carry some of the plates of food, poured us wine during the tasting, and even helped manage the wine sales. It is a shock to me that he’s only been on the job for a few weeks because you can’t tell at all! A huge thank you to him and everyone who made this a memorable experience.

This was an absolutely amazing trip. Our guide Merak went above and beyond to make sure we had the best experience imaginable. His English was very good and his love for the history made this absolutely magical. We met folks on this trip that we will be friends with for life. Montserrat itself was absolutely spectacular. The wines we tasted were exceptional. This was like no other tour I have been on. This was an awesome experience! I highly recommend it!

This tour was absolutely amazing and just what we wanted. We wanted a full day to truly enjoy Montserrat and of course wine, so this was perfect. As you know with most tours, it’s go-go-go! And you barely get to experience the experience, with this tour we were able to truly see the beauty of Montserrat. Anays (Pronounced AN-EYE-ISS) was the perfect tour guide!! We absolutely adored her! Anays not only provided a wealth of information, she was so Pleasant and enthusiastic, offering to take photos and answer questions. BIGGEST TAKEAWAY: 1) Ride the Funicular up and down, the view is amazing and it saves time. 2) Taste the liquer. It’s €3 and you can see which you like and can purchase. 3) BUY THE MONTSERRAT CHEESE! On the way out there are small family tents selling everything from cheese to meats, to figs! BRING CASH AND BUY THEM! You won’t regret it! 4) REQUEST ANAYS! She’s from New York, raise in Barcelona since a young age and speaks fluent Spanish and Catalan!

We had a great time on this tour and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. Mariana was an excellent tour guide and worked hard to ensure everyone enjoyed the trip. She combined a strong understanding of Spain's history with a sense of humor to bring the places we visited to life. She was very passionate about her country's culture and more than willing to answer any questions we had. The bus was air conditioned and comfortable, and the tour guides narrated the hour ride to and from Montserrat which made the time go quickly. The views at Montserrat were absolutely breathtaking, and we highly recommend doing the hikes the tour guides will mention (as well as sampling the liquors made by the monks). The vineyard tour was also fantastic, and we learned a lot about the art of making wine. Overall, a truly unforgettable experience!

The day was fantastic from start to finish! We started the day at 9 AM, went to Montserrat and saw the monastery which was breathtaking! And then had a couple hours of free time which was plenty to enjoy the views surrounding the area! Then went to the winery and vineyards for lunch and wine tasting… the food was lovely but the portion was fairly small… although you get plenty of wine to make up for it! Edu was our guide and he was very informative and shared some great stories, a top guy! Thanks Edu for a great day!
