Extremely worth your while!

Outstanding. Jackie was a wonderful tour guide and we learned so much and saw so much beauty! We were incredibly lucky with the weather, but even on a gray day I am sure this tour delights.

A Fun Day Dispite...

The coach was comfy and the driver was funny. Two suggestions, however. Don't offer a trip to Northern Ireland on July 12th or at least inform that the itinerary will be different. We did not get to go to two sights because of the date (Carrick a Rede rope bridge and Dunluce Castle). But we were taken to Belfast where everything was closed because of the date. I had been to Belfast and specifically booked a trip without it.

Good views and history lesson!

This was a great trip from Dublin up to Giant's Causeway! The tour guide, Brian, was very knowledgeable and gave a history of Ireland along the way. Our group was able to fit in a Black Cab tour of the Belfast murals for anyone that wanted to do it. It was not originally on the itinerary and a nice bonus add-on. Note for other travelers - you have to pay the Black Cab guides directly in cash. It was 15 sterling or 20 Euros. The rope bridge was a picturesque stop over, as was the castle in the afternoon. I think one of these could have been skipped to allow more time at Giant's Causeway or for lunch. We had 1.5 hours which was good enough, but an extra 30 minutes couldn't have hurt. It may have given us extra time for lunch there. There is a hotel, cafeteria, and a couple of restaurants. See my next note -- My only negative note about the trip is the lunch spot. We were told to queue up and had a few items to pick from. I can honestly say it was one of the worst lunches I've had (as a vegetarian, my options were a soggy sandwich or a veg stew) and during the heat wave, I didn't feel it was the most hygienic either. And, it was expensive for what we got. I'm glad I packed lots of snacks and picked up some more at one of the rest stops.

Awesome Northern Ireland

It was awesome and Mind blowing. The Atlantic coastal beauty can really be seen only in this tour. Belfast city tour was not attrctive but Giant’s causeway, Dark Hedges were too good. But expect more time to these places to fill the eyes with nature beauty.

FALSE ADVERTISING
Khalid_A
, Jun 2022
First and foremost the locations are amazing and worth the trip. However in this case it was FALSE ADVERTISING! We didn't visit the rope bridge nor any of the mentioned castles. While I understand that the rope bridge access is closed for busses since the pandemic, why do you keep advertising it?also there were plenty of people on the bridge, what they did was that the busses stopped a bid further and people walked to the bridge. But no not for this tour. Such a shame... We only visited dark hedges and giant causeway. We also spend significant amount of time in Belfast for no reason even though it's not even advertised. I've already been to Belfast before and booked this tour since it was focused more on the countryside and castles etc. But we only visited half of the advertised locations. That's just lying to people. If I knew I would have booked with different provider. I expect nothing less but a partial refund and an apology. Btw the bus driver was a nationalist and IRA supporter and kept bashing the English. While yes I understand the history of Ireland is dark and obviously the English weren't so innocent but in these days you expect more objectiveness from your guide....

Good long day, no rope bridge

Richard was a good and informative tour guide. Giant’s Causeway is the highlight. Good lunch, dark hedges are ok. Disappointing that the rope bridge has been off-limits to busses for 2 years, but they still market it for this tour. Long day, comfortable bus.

It is a LIE, it does not include the bridge.
Marilina_A
, May 2022
The mainly reason i bought it was because of the bridge. It is not included and wont be this year. it is a lie that includes because per what the guide told us , it is allowed to groups for the entire year 2022. So once we were up in the bus, they told us that we were not doing the bridge. The rest is ok. the guide told about the places and irish history, good driver.

Beautiful and so fun!

Paul was amazing! Everything he had to say about he history and places we visited was so interesting, the sights were beautiful and he was probably one of the funniest people I’ve ever met. He had my friend and I cracking up the whole time and it was just what we needed. The northern coast was also extremely beautiful and one of my favorite parts of Ireland! I would highly recommend this tour and especially with Paul!! The only thing is the tour didn’t include the bridge which was one of the reasons why we chose it over the others, but other than that it was beautiful and Paul made up for it :)

Disappointed

If you think you will be able to go on the rope bridge, you won't! We were disappointed as driver only told us that on the way. It's misleading saying entry/admission- Carrick A Rope Bridge. WiFi and USB do not work

Liana M - May 10, 2022 Richard O'Brien has been the best guide and driver we have ever had. for North of Ireland. Full of jokes and funny stories, patriot when he talked about those places, polite, inclusive with all the group and plenty of stories about all the places of the tour. It's great to find professional people like him meanwhile you know such a beautiful country. The tour was an excellent choice and he even sings sometime!

Long day, bad planning

The actual sites were wonderful and completely worth the trip. However, I cant say the same regarding the organization level of the tour operator. They started late to begin with and we had to wait for the bus to arrive in the cold. It may have been 5/10 mins wait time but in my opinion thats unprofessional. The bus ought to be at the pick up point sometime in advance of the departure time for a smooth process, and not arrive 10 minutes well after the scheduled time! Secondly, some goof up followed and some 20+ passengers who were to be picked up from midway (Belfast) were simply not picked up until we had almost reached our first stop! We were driven all the way back to rectify this, adding a couple of hours extra to an already long day! Incredible. Really. Then occasionally there were issues with the route! I dont know who's fault this was- the route setter or the bus driver, but we kept taking wrong turns and addind more time to an already tryingly long day. Thank god for the lovely Irish countryside that saved the day, despite the long hours on the bus going round and round. The tour is a great one. Maybe book with someone else who can be more professional in the way its conducted.

Great trip to N. Ireland
Breanna_L

My mom and I took this tour a few days ago. Overall, we had a wonderful time. Alex, our guide, was great. We’ve (now) taken several tours with various companies, and he provided us with the most and best cultural and historic information about Ireland. He specifically taught us a great deal about The Troubles and Northern Ireland while we were going through those areas. He also prioritized fellow passengers respecting each other’s time and experience (primarily by not speaking over him while he was giving out information) which was greatly appreciated. The tour itself was a lot of fun. The Giant’s Causeway was incredible. The dark hedges would have probably been more impactful later this spring or in the summer but were interesting nonetheless. We didn’t get to see the rope bridge which was a disappointment. However, it’s our understanding that the bridge is currently closed due to Covid and the tour description on select travel sights just hasn’t been updated yet. Finally, we went to Belfast. Alex took those of us who were interested to see the Titanic museum which we really enjoyed.

The tour guide was so friendly and super helpful. Although the rope bridge was closed we got to see a very beautiful viewpoint. Be mindful the Giants Causeway requires going up and down hill, and wet slippery surfaces. I would highly recommend getting some good walking boots.

Bad organiser
Karolina_W
, Sep 2020
Let me review the tour organiser, not the destinations per se (which were wonderful btw, just use different organiser!) When travelling in Covid-19 times, one would expect more safety and care from tour organiser. We were not socially distanced in the bus. In theory everyone should have the mask on, but it was not respected. I have contacted the company prior to trip and I was assured that everyone must wear a mask at all times. It doesn't apply to children apparently. We had a small girl on board, breathing through mouth and touching everything with hands. Then, there was also plenty of adults, that with approval of driver, kept drinking coffee on board. This clearly mean that the mask were off, and not per sip but from start to finish of the beverage. Now, despite information in the website, the company did not provide face masks. If you have decided to use this tour organiser you must take the mask with yourself. Other than no social distancing and not obeying mask rules, I think there was not enough time to explore anything. We had to rush through locations, and we could not even enter to rope bridge, with is totally understandable but it's just better to wait until restrictions go down if you want to see it. We just had a stop to look at it from a distance for 10 minutes, and we were not advised beforehand about this change. Remember that you need to be on time on the collection point. We left last collection point at 7:23 where it was advised to be at 7:20, so make sure you arrive on time or earlier! Please select different organiser for your own safety and comfort!

Tour review

We booked our trip to Ireland before the Covid-19 pandemic took over. We still flew out knowing that there was a social distancing guideline in place and a lot of the museums, bars and restaurants were closed. Luckily the tour still went ahead, which was a relief and also nice to get out of Dublin for the day. Tiernan (Big ginger T) was our coach driver and tour guide and he was fantastic. He kept us entertained throughout the day with lots of historical information and facts and the odd one liner thrown in. It is a very long day, we set off for the coach pick up point at 6.45am and eventually got back to the hotel at 8.45pm, but it is worth it to see all the sights that we did. This tour is highly recommended.
