This tour was the highlight of our Galway Trip
, Oct 2021
Really enjoyed our Connemara tour with our tour guide Jerry. He was very enthusiastic, helpful and full of knowledge about the area. He was giving us sa random facts about anything in the area which are really interesting. He was also very patient. He waited for us to finish our hike around Diamond Hill eventhough we were 30mins late because of the difficulty of the hike. Normal drivers would’ve left already, but he was not like any other drivers. He is definitely a good man. Most of the duration of tour was amazing. I would’ve given them 5 stars, but there was this one guy who was checking each people booking before they hop on the bus who was really mean and unhelpful. But overall, t’was ol good. Thank you Wild Atlantic Way tours especially Jerry.

Connemara Road Trip
, May 2019
My wife and I were picked up at our hotel on this rainy morning by our guide in a small van with 3 other couples. We started off on a road trip through Connemara National Park, passing through the bogs and reaching a high point on the road for a view of Mannin Bay. We reach Kylemore however the abbey itself was closed due to renovations (we were never informed about this) but we were able to walk the gardens and look at the gothic cathedral. We also stopped at Teach An Phiarsaigh however Patrick Pearce's Cottage was closed for renovation (again never informed). We finished off the tour driving through the countryside, stopping at several "Quiet Man" filming locations before we were dropped off at our hotel. It was disappointing that some of the attractions on this tour were closed, we basically drove around most of the day with several picture opportunity stops.

Can't do much regarding the weather but rainy and cloudy and the wonderful sites were a little less clear. Otherwise, tour guide David was great. Loved the small van vs bus.

We loved this trip. The stops at different points were beautiful and informative. If you haven't heard the story behind turf, that fires are still burned with - you will feel you know Ireland and its people a little better. WE were given the choice of walking the trails at Connemara Park or going to Kylemore Abbey. We went to Kylemore Abbey and it was breathtaking, and just a beautiful spiritual place to be. You will hear the story of the man behind this place which is both joyful and sad. We went in a 20 plus comfortable large Van not bus. A bus would not have made some of the off road adventures we had. What I would say to parents of young children is that this is a long full day trip that takes some time getting from place to place. There were some younger children who were restless and loud on the bus disturbing other guests. I would say that this is not the trip for younger children. Nonetheless a beautiful day with beautiful views of the Wild Atlantic WAY and an Abbey that touched our souls. MNG 220 Toronto, Canada

Well designed and perfectly executed tour. Being guided and driven by a Connemara native was a huge plus. Every stop was timely and worthwhile. We enjoyed every minute. Kylemore Abbey and Gardens is well worth the trip. Connemara is spectacular. We would take this same tour over and over again. Highly recommended.

This was an excellent tour, tour guide John, did an job making the tour a wonderful experience. John is local to the area, and was able to provide detailed insight to the local history and culture. Although, the vehicle is not equipped with a toilet, the tour include frequent stops to ensure everyone remains comfortable. I highly recommend the Wild Atlantic Way tour company that was used by Viator for this tour. NOTE: I was disappointed that I was told by a Viator representative to purchase my Kylemore Abbey tickets on line, when asked if the tour company received a reduced rate. The tour company does receive a reduced rate of 8 euros per person. I spent approx. 11.5 euros per person, or 7 euros more than I could have purchase the tickets for on the tour bus.
