Amazing Bill

Bill is an amazing guide!
C’est un puit de savoir. He has so many knowledge to share, and he does it with a lot of emotion. I completely recommend him, if you are into highland history.
A tribute to Scotland's history!

We absolutely loved this tour. John was our guide and he provided wonderful historical and cultural information. He’s really a lovely man, and was very thoughtful and responsive to the travelers. Because one of the distilleries was closed the company made arrangements for us to visit another one, which was also very nice, and John rearranged our schedule to ensure that we did not waste any of our time. It was really a great day.

Our guide was so very knowledgeable. My interest in his talks never waned and I definitely felt I got more than my money’s worth. I couldn’t possibly choose my favorite part. Your country is fabulous.

Craig gave me and my friends a wonderful tour! He shared a wealth of information on each stop and had lots of witty antidotes to keep us entertained. Each stop was an adventure and a fun history lesson. Lunch at Corner on the Square was great too!
Super great tour, amazing tour guide

Amazing tour !! Our guide Craig was incredible! He was so friendly and made the tour very enjoyable. Craig was super knowledgeable about the area and its history, plus just any other random facts about literally anything. I would definitely recommend this tour for anyone interested in seeing the area and learning about its history. Thank you Craig for a super fun day !!!!
Truly magical day in the Highlands

You absolutely must do this tour, it is EXCELLENT. I would give this 10 stars if I could, it's been my favorite part of my trip so far. The summary simply doesn't do it justice. Our guide Mike was so wonderful, really knowledgeable and friendly, and made sure to show us places off the beaten path that really revealed the beauty of the Highland countryside. In addition to seeing Castle Urquhart, Loch Ness, Glen Ord Distillery and Culloden Moor, Mike took us to a local farm with an attached shop, and a lovely 13th century priory in Beauly where we had a superb lunch. Clava Cairns to end the day was truly magical. This is a great way to see the area around Inverness with a really great local guide (seriously, can't say enough good things about Mike). Book this tour asap!

Amazing day through history and fiction

Today we went with Stuart on a tour through history and fiction stories. Stuart was a perfect guide for this tour. Especially the battlefield of Culloden made a real impression on me even more by how the story was told and shown by Stuart. All and all a remarkable day even though we did not find Nessie and couldn't travel through the stones at Craig na dun 😉 5 star tour!

We had an amazing day on the Loch Ness and Culloden battle field tour. Our guide Stuart was one of the best I’ve ever had and I have been on a lot of tours around the UK and Europe! I had been looking forward to revisiting Culloden battlefield and Stuart brought it to life for us whilst also demonstrating the level of respect the site deserved. Thank you for a great day!!

The Culloden battlefield...

The Culloden battlefield was very interesting and our guide was very knowledgeable. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable throughout the tour. We also had a great group in or van . Very enjoyable day.
Excellent tour

Our tour guide was Michael and we really enjoyed having him. He brought the history to life.
The stop at Loch Ness was brief. We saw Urughart Castle, but only from the road. The Loch was beautiful.
A brief stop at a place to see Highland goats and coos.
We did a brief stop at the distillery. We weren't able to tour, but Michael explained the process. We then paid for a tasting and had time to go to the store.
We had lunch on our own in Beauly, then explored the ruins of a priory church there.
At Culloden we had the option of staying with Michael or going through the paid visitor exhibit. The group all elected to stay with the guide and he took us out on the battlefield and explained the battle. It was all very moving. We were there about an hour and a half.
Our last stop was Clava Cairns. What a beautiful, peaceful place. The mystery of the Cairns is very intriguing.
Overall, it was an excellent tour. A lot gets packed in. The guide was great.
Wonderful journey in Inverness with Drew

What a wonderful time we had with Drew!
Highly recommend this guided tour. Drew is a welcoming kindhearthed person with such a way of describing his home. The way the tour is built and the knowledge that Drew brings to it, makes it a memorable journey to Scotland.
Side note, it is really great choice for couples because of the limited 8 seater bus which gives it a sense of "private tour"
Fabulous day trip!

Excellent trip. A really knowledgeable guide, Chaz, a brilliant informative day out.
Stopped at a great place for lunch, at the White cottage, and it has lovely food.
Couldn’t fault the trip or the guide.
Well done

Robbi is the best!!!
Linda_R

We highly recommend Robbi. Between beautiful venues his witty jokes and impromptu spouting of quotes and poetry kept us in stitches. But when it came to Culloden he sombered and stressed the importance of this sacred place. We will never forget this fantastic day!
Good tour for people interested in history
Julia_F
, May 2022
Very informative tour. Our tour guide gave us plenty of historical details, and we visited all the major spots.
A couple of watch-outs:
* This tour isn't ideal for non-English speakers, even if a translator is on board. There was a lot of information to be shared and no time for translation.
* This is not a "chill" tour. There is a lot to see and time is tight, so we couldn't enjoy the views and stops as widely as we wanted.
Response from Host , May 2022
Thank you Julia for the kind review. It's great you appreciated the information given but we are sorry if some of the details were lost in translation for you. The guides try to ensure every nationality is catered for. We feel this is an unhurried tour compared to many and strive to give a full tour at an acceptable pace to all. Haste ye back.
