Meet your LA tour guide IN FRONT OF the GREEK THEATER BOX OFFICE in Griffith Park (Box Office has a giant LED screen on top promoting events). Please meet your LA tour guide 15 minutes prior to departure for check in. We are unable to wait for latecomers. Please allow time for LA traffic.

  • We’ll be walking 3.5 miles (5.6 km) along what is widely considered to be an easy to moderate Hollywood Sign hiking trail
  • Closed-toe shoes are required and layers are recommended
  • Not wheelchair accessible
  • Service animals allowed
  • Near public transportation
  • No heart problems or other serious medical conditions
  • Young children welcome but should be able to hike on their own.
  • Guests must provide their own water on this tour.
  • Guests joining this tour should be in good health, with a beginner to intermediate fitness expectation on this Los Angeles tour
  • Travelers should have a moderate physical fitness level
  • Guests should not have a fear of heights, and should not be afraid to break a sweat on this Hollywood Hills Tour
  • Children under 2 years old are free. For this hike tour, children should be 5+ years of age, and able to hike. For guests traveling with younger children/strollers, we recommend our express Hollywood Sign Tour
  • Guests must provide their own water for this Hollywood Hills tour. We recommend that guests bring 2 bottles of water, and to hydrate before, during, and after the Griffith Observatory Hollywood Sign Hike, especially important in the warm summer months!
  • This tour/activity will have a maximum of 100 travelers

Eric M was a great guide and really added value to the experience. Knowledgable, articulate and helpful at all times, he makes a great story teller...even helped us out with a lift to thecstation at the end. The only reason I gave the visit 4 and not 5 stars is because the expectation for vacine evidence was not made clear, nothing to with Eric but UK kids only have paper evidence which we did not take. Apart from that fantastic.

First let me say this... If! you are second guessing if you should take the tour, let me assure you it is worth every penny. Myriam was such a treat as a tour guide, she made the tour exciting while providing a little history lesson. She was attentive and provided snacks as my group trekked up the mountain. I hope Myriam makes it on the big screen and it is everything that she hopes and dreams. Until next time!!!

Erick Martinez was the best guide! Funny and interesting historical stories filled our morning hike. The observatory was educationally cool. We also took Erick’s recommendation for a nearby restaurant after (Stamp) and it was super yummy. Great introduction to LA for me and the kiddos.

This was a slightly more challenging hike than we anticipated, but the 2 mile hike up was worth it for the views. Miriam was a great guide; she was friendly, knowledgable and took care of everyone in the group. If you're happy to hike up 2 miles of Hills then you'll enjoy this tour!

Erik Martinez gave a wonderful tour filled with lots history about the Hollywood Sign and Griffith Observatory and plenty of opportunities to take pictures and take in the view along the way! He also gave tips and tricks about staying in LA and provided many safety instructions to the group. I was nervous to hike alone, but the tour was friendly and engaging and I had a great time meeting new people! This was a 10/10 experience and I would definitely do it again!

Miriam was great. The hike was nice, definitely a bit challenging on the way up… but it was my first real hike in a while so if you are in better shape you’ll be fine. If you have a fear of heights just be aware that the walking path on the way up the mountain is very narrow and close to the edge. I just didn’t look to my left at all lol… it was nerve racking for sure… but a worthwhile experience for those brave enough. You do not get close to the Hollywood sign at all, but you will still be able to take nice photos. The observatory was crowded and I didn’t stay long, so I can’t comment much on that part.

This tour sounded fun so I signed up. Who wouldn't want to see the Hollywood sign and learn more about the area? Others said it was a moderate hike, and I would agree. Not too challenging at all. Best of all, our guide, Myriam, was personable, funny, and shared interesting stories about the area. At various lookout points, Myriam took multiple photos of all members of the group and even brought along extra water and snacks for us just in case. I'm so glad I took advantage of this excursion and highly recommend it.

The views. Definitely the views. We actually missed the tour because of poor planning with driving times, but it was still worth it. My husband has a fear of heights. I had totally missed that when I booked. We had a marvelous tour on our own and the views from the Observatory were priceless!
