We had a wonderful afternoon walking around the city and having the history brought to life via Gareth our tour guide. A family of 5 with youngsters aged 15, 13 and 11 who were engaged and kept interested throughout the walk - no easy feat! Thanks for the pizza recommendation we went there straight afterwards and it was fab!
We are local to Manchester but thought why not try a tour as you would in other cities - would highly recommend this for anyone !

I have often visited Manchester but I have never done a tour before. Now that I took part, I regret not doing one earlier. You could really tell that the tour guide Gareth was passionate about the town and its history and gave additional useful tips on what to do in Manchester. I would definitely recommend this tour for anyone who wants an overview of the towns most interesting sights. Even though it was a long walk, the time just flew by.

He went through the whole of the history of the city, it’s social, economic and political make up, he described all facets of life from sports to industry to culture and current activities. This tour was great for seeing the main spots of Manchester, such as the Royal Exchange and Central Library. The tour guide spoke about the history of Manchester and made us feel welcomed. We didn’t have to walk too far either, it was probably about 2 miles in total. Generally a great walking tour!
