Great day trip on the river with Zach!

Fabulous day spent on the river with Zach and Paddle Moab. We had a great time, got a little wet, we were a little sore the next day, saw some wonderful scenery and great wildlife. I would recommend this excursion to anyone traveling through the area and looking for something to do and a good way to see the area. (Lunch provided was also very good!)
Thanks Zach for a great day!

It was a beautiful day rafting down the Colorado river, the water was pretty cool but refreshing. (May 24th) Our guide was very informative and gave us very specific safety information prior to launch. The water was a little low that day so there was not too many rapids, but still really fun!

This was a highlight of our trip to Utah. So beautiful floating along the Colorado River. Our guide, Ethan, was phenomenal! He was very knowledgeable and provided so much information about the River, the area, wildlife and history. Ethan was well qualified and ensured that we were safe at all times. We did the full day trip, glad we did as we wouldn’t have been ready to leave the River after just a few hours. Highly recommend this if you’re in Moab! Thank you Ethan!

The last minute my trip was cancel no particular reason, i have to find other activities, I wish they would tell me 5 day in advance not less than 24 hours notice,
Response from Host , Sep 2021
We are sorry this happened. Cancelling trips is something we try and never do, and is rare occasion that is does happen. In this case you booked last minute and we were hoping someone else would book so that your trip would go. There is just no way we can do a 1 person trip booked less then 24 hours in advance. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Highly recommend this trip. My teenaged children and I had a wonderful day on the water. Travis is an absolutely amazing guide and went out of his way to make sure everyone had a memorable trip. We went on our first day in Moab and he shared so much information about the history, geography and other activities in the area. Such a fun day and great start to our vacation.

Rowan was the coolest guide. But if you are looking for a more extreme and adventurous rafting experience, this is a beginner trip. While the scenery is wonderful, the rafting is sub-par. One of us even fell asleep. Again, Rowan did an excellent job, but the rafting experience was a bit less excellent.
Response from Host , Jul 2021
I agree! Your guide is the coolest! All of our guides are pretty cool! I'm glad you had fun with our company. However, the Moab Daily is a family friendly, scenic, class II whitewater river section. AKA a pretty mellow (especially during a 100 year drought) but beautiful section of river. Don't rate our company based on the level of river, that is out of our control.
We our happy to direct you to a higher class rating of river if that is something you're interested in.
Dangerous Guide Behavior

It was okay, the company seemed great, the guides that drove us out were great, but the guide we had was not engaging, did not have us do much so we sat and were bored, our boat did not have a lot of people wanting to swim and that almost seems to bother the guide we had. Then on a rapid she deliberately turned boat sideways to be funny throwing my wife and I off the boat in the rapids, hit my head twice on the bottom of the boat and my wife was sent down stream. The guide played off as funny, okay falling in is, but deliberately doing something dangerous in the rapid around rocks is not funny. Would not recommend for sure
Response from Host , Jul 2021
Safety is something that we take very seriously. I spoke to your guide and she in no way "deliberately turned sideways to be funny"! Prior to getting in the boat, you were given instructions on what to do should you fall out of the boat because that is that nature of the beast; boats can turn sideways, sometimes people fall out. If swimming a class II rapid was dangerous, we would not offer this trip. In no way did your guide put you in a dangerous situation, especially on purpose.
The Moab Daily is referred to as a scenic, class II, whitewater section. Especially at lower waters, most guests are able to sit back, relax, go for swims and enjoy the views between rapids. It comes highly recommended even without a guide entertaining.

We took the 6 hour rafting trip. The views were amazing. Our guide was full of stories and history of the area. Our kids had a blast. They were able to swim in a rapid, float around the river outside the raft for a lot of the time enjoying the day, and see a little bit of wild life. This was a great experience and our family would highly recommend Paddle Moab!

We perform checks on reviews
You can only submit a review or rating of an experience to Viator if you were the person who made the booking through Viator. Before publication, each review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information for each of the following criteria: who, what, how, and when. If the system detects something that contradicts our publication criteria, the review is not published. When the system detects a problem with a review, it may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site. In some cases, we will also send you an email asking you to validate your review before it is published. All you need to do is click on the link provided in the email. After publication, our team checks each review reported to it as not meeting our publication criteria. Tripadvisor reviews that appear on the Viator site are subject to the same checks and moderation processes as set out above. It is not necessary to have booked an experience through Viator (or Tripadvisor) to submit a review of an experience to the Tripadvisor site.

Sorting, ranking, and search results
Viator wants to make your searches as relevant as possible. That’s why we offer many ways to help you find the right experiences for you.
On some pages, you can select how to sort the results we display and also use filter options to see only those search results that meet your chosen preferences. You’ll see explanations of what those sort options mean when you select them.
You’ll see some experiences with a “Promoted” badge, which means that the operators of those experiences have agreed to pay Viator more to have their experience highlighted.
If you see an Experience Award Winner label, the award is based on average review ratings, share of bookings with a review, and number of bookings through Viator over a 12-month period.
The importance of any one factor over any other in a sort order varies, and the balance is constantly being reviewed and adjusted. We’re always updating our systems and testing new ways to refine and improve your results to make them as relevant as possible to meet your needs.
