Weather did not help

There is not much that can be done about the weather, but there should have been a closed vehicle made available. The guide showed up 30 min late and changed the meeting point without letting us know. We were fretting that we had missed the tour, it was just by chance we saw the truck in a different area.

The history and the information was extremely wonderful. Our guide was excellent. The land was just breathtaking to see. I just have one suggestion as an Executive Chef I was really forward to have a Na taco which I did enjoy , however, the manner in which it was served could be improved. Perhaps placing the condiments in containers for serving and keeping the drinks cooler if possible. Also adding the park pass fee to the tour ticket ,so that everything is paid for all at once. I would recommend this tour anyone. It was worth it in every way.

The tour captures all the high points in Monument Valley but I would still do the driving loop for another view and more time. There were some interesting history and area facts shared on the tour and some special Native music at the Hogan formation . We had stormy weather but the tour went anyway the truck is covered but every stop, start or turn dumps water in the seating area so hope for sun! Most of the tour is drive by so photography can be a challenge except at the 4 or 5 stops. The dinner is ok...could have been better...dining area needs a little maintenance and ample seating as multiple groups come together for the meal. The native entertainment after dinner is ok...not exceptional and the tour company owner asking for tips (for himself) was a turn off. He was part of the show and offered "if you want to tip me I'll be standing up here for a while" never have I ever heard this and have been booking with Viator since 2015. Also call the day before to verify where to meet your guide. There appears to be some confusion per the ticket info and the tour people. We were missing 4 people for quite some time because of this confusion. We booked a stay at The View because that is where our ticket said we would be picked up...easy. It isn't necessary as the tour also goes from the Visitor Center. Either way you will pay an entrance into the park in addition to your tour fee. Would I do it again? Probably..and hope for better weather.

Cody was an excellent guide. He represented the tour company very well. But, most of all, the Navaho people with passion and dignity. He explained the culture, language and scenery very well. The dinner and all the entertainment were 5 star. Excellent tour, dinner and scenery.

Wow! An absolute must do when visiting Monument Valley. Our guide Cody was very knowledgeable about the land, his culture the Navajo Tribe. We were taken to areas that only guides can take you. Navajo tacos for dinner while the albino Navajo Indian, Mr Simpson told us about the four clans of his people and went in depth about the land and Navajo Culture. Then we were treated with songs and traditional Indian dancing. I am so grateful for this magical experience. Thank you.

Our guide Wayne was very knowledgeable. He also was great at taking pictures of us. Simpson tours at Monnument Valley did a great job. The meal and show at end was the best.

Enchanted Dreamcatcher Evening Tour
Rolen_V
, Jun 2022
We love our Dreamcatcher Evening Experience tour which includes dinner with live entertainment from the Monument Valley Simpson's Trailhandler Tours. Harrison, our local Navajo tour guide is very informative in sharing the history of the place & driving us safely to the different view points inside the park. We were treated to a delicious dinner after the tour with their famous Navajo Tacos & live entertainment program after. This is a highly recommended tour.

Evening in Monument Valley

The Monument's beauty is amazing. Our guide, Jamie, was fabulous. We really enjoyed his stories, local knowledge, and flute playing. The dinner, story telling, and dancing were also great. So pleased we booked this tour.

Amazing evening and truly authentic Navajo experience

This tour was a wonderful one. Our guide Jamie is a Navajo Indian. We had an authentic presentation of the beliefs and ways of the Navajo people by a presenter, Harold also a Navajo Indian. Jamie did Navajo dances in traditional Navajo dress. We had dinner by a campfire which was excellent. We had a fully immersed tour of the monument. We were a party of 11 family members ranging from age 5 to age 82 and this tour met all of our needs. I strongly recommend this tour.

Worst Trip Ever!
Elizabeth_A
, Jun 2022
Although the Monuments were breathtaking and good photo ops, the total experience was a Flop. The took us on an open car with 45-50 MPH winds so strong we were eating dirt all the way! I finally requested to sit in the truck cab because my eyes got full of sand. I wear contact lenses, even with sunglasses on. The “steak dinner was terrible to say the least: overcooked cheap steak on top of fry bread with lettuce & tomatoes and a soda. We had to eat on dirty tables. The entertainment was disappointing to say the least. An old white guy telling stories for 20 minutes, one dancer/chauffeur sprinting around the tiny fire, and surly folks who served us. UUGH! I know you cannot control the wind, but what about a closed van as an option in bad weather? It was so windy we could not stay outside to look at the stars! Overall, a very pricey $600 for 16 hours and a very long 10-hour round trip!!! And this did not cover the cost of gas or food. Just the tour and cabin. Never again.

Experiencing the beauty of the back country of the rock formations was great, but really felt that I did not get the cultural information that I was expecting. Also the sharing of historical info was very sparse

It was a very nice tour. The scenery was spectacular and our guide, Cody, was very personable and educated us about different aspects of the Navajo culture as well as Monument Valley in general. The finale with dinner, Navajo stories and dancing made for a very enjoyable late afternoon/evening.

The Dream Catcher experience was a once in a lifetime experience. Our guide, Jamie, was informative, knowledgable, funny, and openly shared his experience in his aboriginal world. Jamie made the entire adventure something to be cherished and never forgotten.

No Bathrooms
Jay_P
, May 2022
After touring the valley you arrive at the site for Dinner & Navajo Dance show... HOWEVER there is NO Bathroom (Port-a-Potty). You are instructed to Go Behind a Big Rock, near where you will be eating, to Relieve Yourself. As Mature Adults it was Very uncomfortable and embarrassing for my Wife
