Horrible History Hero
, Nov 2021
Alex, tour guide extraordinaire, was incredible- his depth and breadth of Newcastle knowledge was astonishing; I learned so much and feel I already need to do the tour again. Trust me, you will never view Earl Grey tea the same once you know about the man himself. Alex could not have been kinder and was so communicative about meeting points and fitted around my plans. The walking is not strenuous and adds to the experience, but if you have mobility issues, let Alex know and he will accommodate you. Alex is a gem and would make a trip to Newcastle richer as the city holds so much fascinating history.

Best Historical Tour Ever
, Oct 2020
This is the best tour we have done to date. Alex is very polite, funny and is a rolodex of brilliant historical information about the North East and beyond. We learned loads of fascinating stuff (like that not EVERYTHING is about witches warlocks), and now we can impress people at parties with all of the fun, spooky stuff we learned on our tour! Highly recommend xx

My teacher visited me in Newcastle for a few hours, so I booked this tour not knowing what to expect. He is a traveler and would appreciated a trip filled with interesting information, very organized, and showed the most significant spots of the city. Furthermore, the scary but intriguing stories made it even more interesting. The tour guide was well-informed, answered all of our questions with details making sure we fully understand. As a student here for only a few months, I did not realize that what I know about the city is just the tip of the iceberg. Booking was also very flexible, as I booked just a day earlier and postponed the booking from the 10AM to the 2PM. Overall, I am very happy and pleased with this journey, and will recommended to my friends who are visiting or even friends that have been here for a while.

Excellent tour really enjoyed the personal experience we shared with our very knowledgeable guide, who was a very interesting story teller about practices and characters that lived in Newcastle many years ago. Great storey about a huge disaster that led to the whole of the quayside being rebuilt thanks to queen Victora. Would definitely recommend this tour, wether your from Newcastle or further afield, we come from Newcastle but up till now knew very little about our nearest city.

If you want a tour guide who is passionate about his job in exploring the city and relaying some of its gory history then this is the tour for you. Thoroughly enjoyed it - would recommend. Kay
