22 Rue Jean Rey , 22 Rue Jean Rey, 75015 Paris, France

Meeting time 30 minutes prior to the departure, in front of the HOTEL PULLMAN PARIS TOUR EIFFEL 18 avenue de Suffren, 75015 Paris - Meeting point 22 Rue Jean Rey with our representative with a Paris City Vision sign, outside the hotel.

This activity will end right where it started.
Your tour starts at a central location in Paris, where you receive your audio guide for your visit to Monet's House and Gardens. Then board the bus for the drive from the city to Giverny.

When you arrive, you have independent time to explore Monet's studio, home, and vibrant gardens. Monet lived here with his family for more than 40 years, working on some of his Impressionist masterpieces. Inside, you can see his kitchen, sitting room, reading room, dining room, and bedroom, plus admire his collection of Japanese prints, which provided him inspiration.

Outside, stroll around rows and rows of flowers—from roses to nasturtium to blooms from East Asia—and visit the water lily pond and Japanese bridge, surrounded by weeping willows. This is a scene you probably recognize from some of his paintings. Throughout your self-guided tour, listen to the audio guide for commentary about Monet's work and life.

When your time is up, return to the starting point in Paris, where your tour ends.

Our guide was not nice but bus ride was nice and bus driver very helpful, we overall had a good time with the exception of the rude lady that was helping in the bus.

There was a lot of chaos getting your organized. Sorting out who was in what group and who got what equipment took a lot of time. Time at Giverny was very short due to organization problems. Bus was comfortable and house and gardens were wonderful.

My daughter and I were a few moments late and the bus left us and we had to find our own transportation back to Paris. Lesson learned, they are serious about the departure times.

The visit to Monet’s gardens and house were beautiful. The bus was clean and comfortable. The tour provided a map with audio information if you chose to listen which was great. The tour guide did not offer much information however.

Tour was great. The company was well organised, tour left on time from Paris. The self guided audio tour was worth as well.

Disorganized

Very disorganized. The route back to the bus was not clear. The walk from the bus to Monets garden was very long and several people with our group were disabled. We arrived late and were rushed. The little time at the garden was not worth the long bus ride.

Basic tour: transport and self paced audio tour
Sheryl_B
, Jun 2022
This tour was perfect for me- I just needed a way to get to the gardens. After the bus drops you at the parking lot, you are on your own with a map and Audioguide. I enjoyed that I could go at a self pace. If you have a way to get to the gardens or want to take public transport then skip this tour as it really only provided the transportation. They allowed 2 hours of free time. If you are quick you also have time to walk thru town to the cemetery and see Monet’s grave and maybe time for a beverage in a cafe. Otherwise there is not much to do and very, very tiny town. Only 1 cafe was open when I went on a Friday at 11:00 am.

Not good value for money.

Group leaders were unsure of audio equipment, which was spotty in its operation. When we arrived in the parking lot, she was unclear about which entrance we should use and lost others in her group. Giverny was jammed with people. Nice flowers, but for three of us it would have been cheaper and more pleasant to book tickets on line in advance and arrive before morning opening and take a round trip taxi ride from Paris.

Good but too short a visit

Great to see the house and garden but we had less than two hours which is just not enough time to spend in the gardens. The visit needs to be 3 hours to give time to look in detail and just sit and enjoy.

Sunday trip to Giverny
Hope_R
, May 2022
Beautiful gardens to view in the spring and the audio guide pretty good. But... Don't go on a Sunday. Way too crowded. Glad I wasn't trying to hear a live guide because the audio guide you could put directly to your ear and listen instead of trying to huddle around a live person trying to speak. Disappointed no information from the guide as we drove to Giverny. And half day not enough time if you want to explore the town. Only 2 hours at the actual site. But glad we went.

Stunning Gardens

The gardens were very beautiful. It was, however very crowded. I wish we could take the 8:30 bus out and returned with the 2:00 group so we could have had more time to explore the village, as well.

The Lilly pond! The bus ride over & back was easy and informative with audiotour. Plenty of time to walk around & see everything. Would have helped to have a map of area with path to Lilly pond & garden as it's large and group entrance a bit hidden.

Monet’s House…a must see

Wonderful visit to actually seeing the ponds, colourful flower gardens. A must see. Provides the context for the lilies.

Pretty but crowded

Beautiful gardens. We had the audio guide version and were treated kindly but clearly second class it is into those who had the guided tour option. Also, the bus driver refused to turn on the auxiliary power system so we could not charge phone on the bus. At the end of April, the weather was spectacular and the flowers were a riot of color. The water lilies were not doing much. unfortunately, the place was mobbed. It took a little bit of time to compose my mind to block out the hyper tourism. It might be better to go without a tour via a train.

It's basically transport, tickets and the audio guide. We need to ask for the audio guide, or else they'd forget to give it to us. On premises, the place is really nice and it was a enjoyable half day tour.

The young man who was our guide was exceptional. He was kind to everyone and very clear about expectations for time related concerns. Even at the end of the trip he was helping people find how to get to their homes by sharing what he knew about public transit. When I think of Paris he will be in my memory.
