Duration: 12 hours

Stop At:
Chateau de Chambord
From Paris, you’ll head first to Château de Chambord. Disney fans will find this castle’s turrets familiar; it was the inspiration for the castle in ‘Beauty and the Beast’. Though originally conceived as a royal hunting lodge, it was built to a scale that must be seen to be believed. You’ll learn all about the castle’s captivating history from your guide, before getting your own chance to explore. Climb a staircase supposedly designed by Da Vinci; enjoy spectacular turret-framed rooftop views; glimpse wild deer around the grounds; and work up an appetite for the next stop.
Duration: 1 hour 15 minutes
Admission Ticket Included
Stop At:
Blois
Having worked up an appetite, we'll get back on the bus and on to our next stop - the quaint town of Blois, where you’ll get some free time to enjoy lunch in one of the restaurants located around the beautiful and vibrant Square Louis XII or grab a bite and visit the Royal castle of Blois on your own, notable for its unique mix of Medieval, Gothic, Renaissance and Classical architecture. This Royal castle once was the home of kings Louis XII and François I and presents a tragic history, as the place where Joan of Arc went to be blessed by the Archbishop of Reims before departing with her army to drive the English from Orléans.
Duration: 1 hour 45 minutes
Admission Ticket Free
Stop At:
Chateau de Chenonceau
Last but not least is a visit to the elegant Château de Chenonceau for wine tasting. The chapel, bedrooms and magnificent vaulted kitchens are still furnished and decorated from times gone by, showing off the castle’s many sweeping stone carvings. Don’t miss the impressive main hall, which spans the river Cher, or the gardens cultivated by Diane de Poitiers and Catherine de Medici – two of the famous owners that earned Chenonceau the nickname ‘the Ladies’ Château’. After a guided tour, you’ll have a choice: continue exploring, or indulge in a second wine tasting in the castle’s vaulted wine cellar. Three uniquely beautiful castles, good food and wine, all amid the scenery of the Loire Valley: this tour is a feast for the senses.

Beautiful Chateaus, Pressed for Time
Carter_F
, Jan 2022
Our tour guide was lovely, kind, and knowledgeable, and the Chateaus were beautiful. Only “negative” thing I would say is that I’m not sure I understand the reason for stopping in the city of “Blois” except maybe to allow guests to get food/use the restroom. But it pressed us for time at the Chateaus which was the main point of the tour for us. After eating in Blois we didn’t have time to see anything in the city anyways. I would recommend removing the Blois stop and allowing guests to eat at the restaurant at Chateau Chenonceau and giving more time to both Chateaus in general.

Wine tour with no wine

Read fine print, but it won't matter. They don't serve wine except a few days a week, also allow many moor people on the tour than listed in description

Carmina gave concise overviews of the history behind the places we visited, which really brought them to life.

Screw job

No one was there to answer the phone when I called at 7:36 am to try to find the group. I was on the reverse side of the catacombs. When I called at 8:02, the person in the office answered Fe the phone and said I was too late. I intend to insure that others know of this.

Overall ok but group too big
Edric_K
, Nov 2021
Tour group was more than 25 persons, not as advertised. Places of interests are fine, beautiful but smaller group would have been better, difficult to listen to the guide as group was too big.

Scam

Zero wine, too long of a bus ride for way too little to see. Still beautiful castles we got to see, but spent about 6 hours of the day on a bus, with no wine. Would not recommend or do again.

No wine on the wine tasting tour
Katherine_H
, Nov 2021
Technically the information was included, but it was in the fine print sandwiched. in the Covid related section between "you have to be vaccinated" and "everyone needs to wear a mask". I was making several reservations for our trip to Paris and had seen that Covid section on every one of them so I only skimmed it and totally missed the extra bullet point stating there would be no wine tasting on the wine tasting tour. I feel like important information like that should be much more prominent.

The rooftop experience of the spires of Chambord were breathtaking! The guide’s story of the intrigue between Diane and Catherine was also very interesting.
