Small-Group Day Tour of Moët et Chandon and Taittinger with Champagne Tasting from Reims

Sept/Oct 2021. Excellent tour and guide. When we first arrived my husband and I had some trouble finding the group (our fault). Make sure to read pick up directions carefully and in advance. Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable. He spoke multiple languages (English, Italian, Spanish, Portugués). We had 6 people on our tour which was a great size. Lunch was on our own but the guide gave us a lot of recommendations. We did not get to see Taittinger because it was a World Heritage Holiday and they were unavailable for tours. But the tour company did inform us before hand. Taittinger was replaced with Casanova which was very nice and in town. I enjoyed seeing a smaller more mom and pop place. Great way to see the Champaign region and have a day trip away from Paris.

We had an excellent time and would highly recommend this tour. Our guide, Raphael, provided us with excellent knowledge of Reims and the champagne region and made us feel comfortable and welcome right from the start.

I was late, but they were very helpful and made sure that I get to the first house properly (They gave me a callback right away). So as not to waste my time, Rafael was very professional and kind - he gave me a tour of the town while others were doing their tour in the first champagne house. Throughout the tour, he made sure that we were comfortable and that we are enjoying the tour. He I very knowledgeable and gave so many insights and stories related to the town and basically all of France. It was such a memorable trip to the Champagne region. Thank you so much!

Informative and fun! Our guide, Rafael, couldn’t have been nicer or more accommodating. He was knowledgeable and personable … a pure joy! The tours and tastings were as advertised and the additional Champagne tasting and lunch was definitely worth the extra. Highly recommended.

Our guide Radames was excellent and the tours of Tattinger and Moët & Chandon could not have been better. The small group aspect allowed us to give input and stop to spend some time around the grapevines. Not to be missed!

We booked this trip as a last minute decision and didn't really know what to expectm, but we were very happy with everything. Our guide Christoph was very friendly and accomodating, and extremely knowledgable about the area and the Champagne industry. Our train ride to/from Paris to Reims was very easy, as we always find European train travel to be. We were picked up in a large van and taken throught town, and a tour of the local Notre Dame cathedral, which is just beautiful. The tour of Tattinger was probably my favorite part, through the chalk caves and a very interesting description of the process of champagne. The tasting included was basic, but we were able to pay to upgrade to other higher-priced tastings, all very reasonable. Our tour of 8 was added to a larger group, but all very manageable. We drove to Epernay, with a stop at the tomb of Dom Perignon, which was wonderful, and we were able to stop for some very beatiful photos with views of the vineyards. In Epernay we were on our own for lunch or an hour and there are lots of options that are good. We went on to the Avenue of Champagne and stopped at Moet and Chandon for our last tour. It was beautiful and well done, although less personal than the Tattinger in my opinion. It would have been great if we had had some time to walk through Epernay and the other champagne houses, which were beautiful. That would be my only real critque of the day. It might also be nice to visit some smaller family chateaus instead of the very large ones like Tattinger and Moet. But overall, we were extremely happy with the tour. Great value for the price.

Horrible customer service, rude tour guide, false advertising of stops and a waste of time. My family and I were a party of 6 traveling for my birthday to France. This service was recommended to me while I was searching for things to do on Trip Advisor and I thought that it was expensive, almost a $100 for children who won't be able to partake in drinking champagne, yet sounded like a fun. Even though the tour only consisted of an additional 2 people to our 6, our tour guide left us at the train station and wasted an hour of our time. The guide, named Dorthy, was rude to my family throughout the tour and then did not take to the promised church stop due to her poor planning. The only redeeming aspect of this day trip with this company was the actual champagne tours that we could have payed for on our own. The manager never returned my phone calls when we complained and another employee at this company told me that I was a liar. Horrible customer service, rude tour guide , false advertising and a waste of time.

Our tour guide, Christophe, was very knowledgeable to the area, champagne, and history. The small group tour is recommended as it was easy for use to all tour the various champagne houses together. Both champagne tours and tasting gave us a better understanding of how champagne is made from start to finish. Depending on time of year you tour be prepared to get a little colder down in the caves below as you tour. Being summer when we toured, it actually was a nice cool-off, and you don't spend too much time standing around in the caves. Our guided recommended several places to grab a bite for lunch, which was about an hour, before heading to our next tasting. Take advantage of the local restaurants, shops, and parks in the area while at lunch. Have your cameras ready at all times as there's so much to see. Enjoy your tour in Champagne. Cheers.

I love to buy all my tours with you guys, but this tour I don't recommend it at all. They took us to Taittinger and gave us only one tasting we everybody else in another groups tasted 3 different champagne after that they told us that there was no space for the tasting at the Moet et Chandon but they were going to take us to another place at the same level that Moet Chandon, but they took us to Champagne the Castellane there were no comparison between both places, plus the lady in the tour didn't know what was she talking about. Melody the tour guide was a very nice and sweet person; she stopped for 15 to Moet Chandon because I wanted to buy souvenirs.
