Excellent & Interesting experience
Maria_v
, Mar 2022
Our guide was very knowledgeable about the Region and the process of making the champagne as well as of both Taittinger and the Family Winery we visited. She has a bubbly personality and make the tour interesting.
I would definitely recommend this tour to everyone. We originally thought to do it ourselves but were glad we went for the option to do it via a company specialising in this kind of tours.
Tasting the champagne was also an experience, learning about the different varieties that you get - from very dry to sweet.
Perfect morning trip!

Great Champaign Tasting Tour!
Rudy_O
, Dec 2021
We booked this tour months in advance of our actual arrival to France, looking to learn something about Champaign, as I knew very little about it. I only knew that Champaign is always the drink of choice to toast a friend, during Christmas or weddings. Our tour guide (Tomas or Thomas) took care of that right away - boy did I learn a lot about Champaign and what goes into making it happen, what it takes to go from hand-picking the grapes to serving it out of the bottle.
For those of you looking to be educated in the differences between Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Pino Grillo, Merlot and Champaign, I highly recommend this 3-hour tour. You should be so lucky if Tom is your tour guide - he’s funny, knowledgeable and makes you feel comfortable as he explains the intricate steps (and differences) in the Champaign making process - Great tour!

It was okay for the price, too early for tour of the region. Tour guide from the area very knowledgeable but overall average trip. The tattinger cellar is impressive.

Good introductory tour

We undertook this tour for a general overview of the champagne making process and a look at one of the big houses. The tunnel tour of Taittinger was particularly interesting. The tour goes out of Reims to a small family producer and this gives people who are not familiar with vineyards exposure to them. The guide was informative and engaging.

Great tour

Our guide Susanne was very friendly & informative. We were fortunate that our family party of 6 - 2 from Hamburg, 2 from London & 2 from Australia - were the only passengers. The tour through Champagne Taittinger was most informative. The drive out into the country was pleasant, and our visit to Michel Fargot Champagne was lovely. Upon our arrival back into the City, we had a tour through the Cathedral. On Susanne's recommendation, we went back to the Cathedral that night for the light show - this should not be missed. It was really lovely, we were all so pleased we had the opportunity to see this.

Half day Tattinger Champagne tour
anthony_H
, Aug 2019
Good tour, Thomas, our guide was nice guy but a little disinterested in what he was doing. Seeing caves in Tattinger and learning their history was peak. Tasting in Tattinger very impersonal, we were given lowest quality Champagne- not exactly encourages one to buy any of their more expensive product. Second tasting in Michael Fagot more personal

Nice tour
Sophie_S
, Jun 2019
The guide (Martin) was very nice and friendly. He told everything with a lot of passion. The tour was interesting and it was cool that we we’re the first ones to visit the Taittinger cellars. I liked the fact that the second place we visited was a smaller family company so we could see the difference. The only thing i would’ve liked to do was to stroll around in a vineyard. We only saw the cellars.

You can only submit a review or rating of an experience to Viator if you were the person who made the booking through Viator. Before publication, each review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information for each of the following criteria: who, what, how, and when. If the system detects something that contradicts our publication criteria, the review is not published. When the system detects a problem with a review, it may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site. In some cases, we will also send you an email asking you to validate your review before it is published. All you need to do is click on the link provided in the email. After publication, our team checks each review reported to it as not meeting our publication criteria. Tripadvisor reviews that appear on the Viator site are subject to the same checks and moderation processes as set out above. It is not necessary to have booked an experience through Viator (or Tripadvisor) to submit a review of an experience to the Tripadvisor site.

Sorting, ranking, and search results
Viator wants to make your searches as relevant as possible. That’s why we offer many ways to help you find the right experiences for you.
On some pages, you can select how to sort the results we display and also use filter options to see only those search results that meet your chosen preferences. You’ll see explanations of what those sort options mean when you select them.
You’ll see some experiences with a “Promoted” badge, which means that the operators of those experiences have agreed to pay Viator more to have their experience highlighted.
If you see an Experience Award Winner label, the award is based on average review ratings, share of bookings with a review, and number of bookings through Viator over a 12-month period.
The importance of any one factor over any other in a sort order varies, and the balance is constantly being reviewed and adjusted. We’re always updating our systems and testing new ways to refine and improve your results to make them as relevant as possible to meet your needs.
