    Long day

Knowledgeable guide, just a long day in general on a tour bus. Maybe the trip can be shortened? We were back much later than planned which sort of threw off scheduling. You see a lot in the day and have nice coast views (sit on the right side of the bus). But I would recommend driving yourself to go at your own pace.

We had a great day! Yes it was a long drive but we saw so much. Would have liked more time at Monterey and Pebble Beach instead of Carmel. Our driver was great and told us lots of information about the area and where we was visiting. Would recommend this trip

Almost 12 and a half hours from when we got picked up to dropped back off. Bathroom on bus had water and who knows what else all over the floor and broken toilet cover. Tour guide had us stop at a small restaurant to use the bathroom and get a drink if we wanted. One toilet for an entire bus load of people and other restaurant patrons. Since we were told we must be back to bus by 10:20 and we were we were not able to get through restroom line. Tour guide was rather rude to my friend and I. Put a damper on the whole trip. But the driver got us back safely.

It was an amazing experience. There was some mechanical issue with the bus, but our guide left no stone unturned in making sure we did not waste any time and still have a great experience. We did not miss any of the spots that we were originally supposed to cover. Plus the bus was very comfortable for sitting in the whole day. I travelled with my old parents and they loved every bit of it. Overall is an an amazing experience.

Thomas was an excellent tour guide who added a bit of Irish wit to his commentary with a wealth of information. We added the Monterey Aquarium to the trip for the 2 hour stop even though I knew we’d be rushed. Our 16 yr old grandson enjoyed. Views of the Pacific coast were beautiful & the small hike to Bird Rock very nice.

Regarding the schedule, we stopped at 1:30hs in Carmel because there is a lot to walk and visit. It is a charming place, with shops and a beautiful beach. We also love Pepple Beach!! but we can not stay longer to return on time to San Francisco :( Hope we can welcome you back soon Ignacio Gray Line San Francisco

    Good trip but less time.

    , Jun 2022
It was a good trip but since we started 1 hour late as the bus broke down ..i guess the time window at all places was cut short so had to hurry everywhere and could not enjoy to the fullest as the time needle was hanging on my head. Moreover, a 5 minute delay by a person was also not tolerated by the driver...which I did not appreciate. The drive was comfortable and so was the information provided but it was too much rush rush...

We are sorry for the inconvenience on the bus, sometimes these things happen, and the important is to try to solve it in the best possible way. Disappointing!!
    Erica_G
    , May 2022
Our tour guide was great! Thats the Only thing I'm using to try to balance out the bad. Driver was literally the worst we've ever had. Braking unnecessarily OFTEN! Changing lanes into other vehicles. Whip lash is a real thing. Got us lost 2x. Missed our scheduled stops 2x. Tried to leave customers behind even though we told him not everyone was back yet. Literally the longest most frightening ride on a bus. Does he even have a license? Then not only is the ride a nightmare, the air does not work so the bus is sickeningly hot. Think of a sauna with 90 degree heat with 50 customers all crammed in it together. Then add in kids kicking seats, people talking louder than the tour guide, with nothing being addressed to at least be respectful. The days weather is uncontrollable, I get that but literally the Fog was so bad the first 4 hours along the scenic highway 1 was a blur of nothing. Tour lasted over 12.5 hours. Way too long with all the mishaps happening. Would NOT recommend unfortunately. Just disappointing.

An experience to see and walk around Monterey and Carmel. Was bit disappointed with the weather which was foggy most of the time in the beginning of the trip and missing the experience of driving on Highway 1 which was the most we expected. Even if it was foggy we thought we still take Highway 1 but we drove on another way or express way with no views at all except cars and buses. There was nothing to see extra special at the Peeble Beach Golf Club. Maybe others just used the short stop to go to the restrooms. However I enjoyed much the view on the way to Carmel, looking at the Pacific and the houses and park with the pink carpet flowers. I can recommend bringing extra warm jackets or sweater. It can be really cold out there esp with the stop at the lighthouse.

Driver/tour guide was amazing. Its a long day so be prepared. Sadly foggy on the way there so much of the coastline was missed but what we did see was lovely . Monterey was disappointing rather like Fisherman’s Warf in San Francisco, there really isn’t enough time there to see the aquarium.Carmel was pretty and good for people watching. If youre short on money or time i would go for other tours that Viator do as they are a good company
