We bused from Sedona to Williams, picking up the train there. Our guide, Steve, picked us up at the Canyon for the return trip to Sedona. The ride from Sedona to Williams via Oak Creek Canyon was spectacular. Beautiful canyon! The train ride was Ok, but not great. Lots of uninteresting prairie views. The Grand Canyon was spectacular. Our guide made several stops along the south rim. The guide himself was outstanding. He was very knowledgeable, adding interesting asides during the entire trip. He also had photo suggestions and volunteered to take pictures of us. I highly recommend the guide. He really enhanced the experience.

Train ride was boring. Would have preferred to stay on the van trip instead of leaving to get on the train and then rejoining the group 2 hours later at the Grand Canyon. Definitely not worth the extra money for the train ride.

The scenic views of Sedona and the south rim of the Grand Canyon were life-giving! The train ride from Williams to the Grand Canyon fulfilled our desire to see some of the back country. As significant as the incredible views, was J.R.’s knowledge of each location that we visited, his lifelong connections and stories of life in and around Sedona, and his knowledge of significant events and locations at the Grand Canyon. J. R. focused on making sure that our questions were answered, and he did a great job! We would be happy to accompany J. R. again. It was a very positive and memorable experience!

Guide was great. Train ride was good. We enjoyed the entertainment on the train and the conductor was really good. Downfall was that the train tide is long and you miss out on time at the canyon. The train ride is long and the scenery doesn't compare to the canyon. There is also a rushed feeling due to the schedule of the tour. Overall good trip and would suggest to someone who doesn't want the hassle of driving yourself there and back. The guide was a wealth of knowledge as well. If you want to spend more time viewing the canyon then drive yourself there and you will have more time to see what you want.

We enjoyed seeing the Grand Canyon and the Colorado River.. We appreciated having someone know the best places to view different aspects of the canyon.. Our tour guide, Sheldon, was very knowledgeable. He knew where to take us for the best views. The train ride was relaxing. We only took one way which allowed us more time to view the canyon. We enjoyed the wild west show at the Williams train station.

I had no expectations for how this excersin would be. The train ride was fun and gave a great look at the sounding area. I however, didn't realize the train didn't go along the canyon. However, our tour guide took us to several overlook areas that I was not expecting. Totally exciting.

Our guide Stormi was great. The train ride was boring and then in and out of the van with 10 people total and several quite elderly was very tedious. We only had 20 minutes at the Trading Post.
