A fun and fascinating tour
, Jul 2022
We learnt a great deal of interesting facts in a fun way and managed to see all the sites we wanted.
Where are you???
, Jul 2022
We stood outside St. Patrick's Cathedral for almost an hour.... The other two bus companies came and went.... a couple of times.
Awful.. outdated info on audio commentary
, Jun 2022
Wouldn't recommend. outdated audio commentary by 12 years! and timetable is none existent. Drivers not helpful and hate the company, audio ports don't work in many seats.
, Jun 2022
Very informative. The information flowed. Kept checking on top deck as lots of overhanging branches.

Loved the journey but three sets of headphones didn't work so missed commentary from birthplace to Anne Hathaway 's cottage
Interesting and informative
, Apr 2022
The commentary of the places we visited were good once we found the channel on the radio. Missed the first two places of interest. We also didn't know to pick up headsets. The driver could do with explaining when you first got on.
Big letdown.

Bus broke down Ann Hatherway's cottage not open Mary Arden's farm the bus did not go there because of roadworks. Should have been told of these matters when booking would not have wasted £26.

Great round trip
, Aug 2021
Lovely round trip! Very informative with interesting facts and lots of humour! Excellent bus driver! Loved it all!
Great tour - I will go again!
, Aug 2021
Our guide, Lewis, was incredibly knowledgeable, ready to answer questions and easy to hear and understand. Whether the questions concerned university admissions or involvement of the throne in university affairs, Lewis had an answer. I will definitely bring the rest of my family on this tour when we return to Oxford!
QR code not accepted as ticket
, Jul 2021
Weather was dreadful and water was splashing down from double decker stairs. Commentary was interesting and trip quite short. Would be better in dry weather. I had a QR code which driver said I would have to print off. I had booked the trip prior. QR codes should not be generated if there is no system in place. We were cold and wet, the bus did not arrive on time as per bus stop information and when the driver said I needed a print off I saw red as I am on holiday withouta printer. He did say I could stop at tourist office and get a print off. Not sure if he was being difficult or there are organisational issyes
Enjoyable, except for overhanging branches

Very interesting and glad that we went. We sat upstairs on the left hand side. There is a real problem with overhanging trees, some of which are quite thick. They really should trim them before someone gets hurt
Fun&informative adventure

We are local Stratford people and the children wanted to go on the open top bus tour. We all thoroughly enjoyed this pleasant journey and learnt lots of facts about our local area/history we didn’t even know. The bus driver was helpful and friendly. The top deck was really breezy on the hot day we travelled and it really cooled us down. Also with the added bonus of being able to see all sites talked about on the audio from top deck. Would recommend for locals and tourists alike! Thanks 😊

Informative and a great easy way to tour the sites.
, Jun 2021
Would have been cheaper to book at tourist information office. My family and I loved the open top bus, especially having to look out for trees on the left. The complimentary headphones worked well and were could hear the commentary clearly. A very informative tour covering some of the history of Stratford, Shakespeare and more modern uses for surrounding land such as race horse gallops. Would work well with tickets for the houses, but most were closed during our visit.

I paid £30 for 2 x tickets in advance. I received e-tickets 2 days prior to the tour and £30 was taken from my account. I went to Stratford to find that no such tour existed due to covid. As yet I haven't found out how to get my refund. Begs the question, why was I allowed to book online, get £30 removed from my bank and receive tickets knowing full well no tour was in existence. Very poor.

As usual the Hop on Hop off bus is a great way to get your bearings and hear the history as well as to help decide which highlights to visit. One day is not really enough time to see all of the Shakespeare houses. Two would be better. Unfortunately for us there was one driver sick and roadworks as well to slow things down so we had to wait nearly one hour for the next bus at one point but apart from that the tour was good.

We had a 48 hour pass and started by doing the whole tour from the tourist info which helped us to get our bearings. We then had lunch and got back on to go to Mary Arden Farm as it is the furthest away. We spent two hours there and so used the bus again to visit Anne Hathaways Cottage the next day. We then used the bus to drop us back at the station when it was time to go home!

This tour did not get off to a good start. As we turned up at stop No.1 for the advertised first bus at 9.30 a.m., in good time. Only to find that it was not there. I tried some emergency contact numbers, but no one knew what was going on. So we waited, and eventually, a bus arrived at 10.00 a.m., to start the days business. The driver said that there would only be one bus operating that day, instead of the usual two, and that the tours would now every hour instead of 30 mins.. Surely if they had problems, they were obliged to run the first bus at its correct time, and not leave people who had booked hanging about, not knowing what was going on. Poor Organisation, and business practice.
